How to Measure Your Foot

  1. Place a sheet of paper on a flat surface against a wall.
  2. Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall.
  3. Mark the tip of your longest toe on the paper.
  4. Measure the distance from the wall to the mark in centimeters.
  5. Compare your measurement to the foot length column in the table above.

Tip: Measure both feet and use the longer measurement. It's best to measure in the evening, as feet tend to swell slightly throughout the day. Wear the socks you plan to wear with your shoes.

Between sizes? Italian leather molds to your foot over time, but if you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for the most comfortable fit — especially for boots, where you may want to wear thicker socks.

Fit by Style

Our shoes are handcrafted on traditional Italian lasts. Here's how each style tends to fit:

  • Chelsea Boots: True to size. The elastic side panels provide a snug, flexible fit. If you have a wider foot or high instep, consider sizing up by half a size.
  • Oxford Shoes: True to size with a slightly narrower toe box. If you prefer a roomier fit, sizing up by half a size is recommended.
  • Loafers: True to size. The unlined construction allows the leather to stretch and conform to your foot shape over time.

Width & Fit Considerations

If you have a particularly wide or narrow foot, here's what to keep in mind:

  • Wide feet: Consider sizing up by half a size, especially for styles with a narrower toe box like Oxfords.
  • Narrow feet: Stick to your true size — the leather will conform to your foot with wear.
  • High instep: For boots, sizing up by half a size can improve comfort and ease of entry.
